ADVANCING INTEGRITY CALLS ON PAXTON TO INVESTIGATE ELECTION LAW VIOLATIONS BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND GLENN ROGERS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LEANDER, TX. February 29, 2024

Advancing Integrity is calling for an investigation into alleged election law violations by Independent School District (ISD) administrators in Texas. In a letter addressed to Attorney General Ken Paxton, Christine Welborn, President of Advancing Integrity, expressed deep concern over the use of taxpayer dollars and resources to influence electoral outcomes.

Welborn stated, “These actions not only raise serious legal questions but also undermine the fundamental principles of fair and transparent elections.” She highlighted instances where ISD Superintendents have urged parents to vote in the upcoming March 5th primary, stating that “our public schools depend on it.” Additionally, attachments provided in the letter reveal apparent coordination between a political candidate [Glenn Rogers] and ISD administrators, raising further concerns about potential abuses of power.

“It is imperative that such abuses of power are thoroughly investigated and addressed to maintain the integrity of our electoral process,” Welborn emphasized.

Advancing Integrity is urging the Office of the Attorney General to conduct a comprehensive investigation into these allegations and take decisive action against any ISD administrators found to have violated election laws. The organization remains committed to ensuring fair and transparent elections and will continue to monitor developments closely.
