The 2026 Countdown: Stopping the Steal, Securing Our Elections

It may seem too early to be talking about 2026, but on Election Night, when the numbers weren’t going their way, even before the election was called for Donald Trump, the commentators on MSNBC were talking about it. It was the hope they were offering their viewers. They will regroup and do everything they can to win back the US House and Senate in 2026.

In Texas, most of our Executive Branch will be on the 2026 ballot, including the Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General. We will also have key races in the Texas Senate and all of the Texas House on that ballot. Let’s not forget about the countless county and local races that could be affected. Those elections must be secure. So we must learn from past elections to secure future elections and here is what you need to know:

The presidential election in 2020 was stolen. Many of us have been saying this for years, but now it is obvious to anyone willing to see it. Comparing 2024 to 2020 and 2016 as well as previous presidential elections shows a clear anomaly in 2020. We are working on breaking down the numbers and will have more on this in the future.

Thousands of Texans and tens of thousands of Americans stood up and saved the 2024 presidential election. We owe a great debt of gratitude to election integrity advocates and activists who answered the call to action after 2020. They spent countless hours analyzing data, checking the accuracy of the voter rolls and challenging errors, training and serving as poll workers and watchers, testifying in hearings in the Texas Legislature, and so much more.

The mere presence of strong, knowledgeable citizens at the polls, in central count, and on the ballot board kept a lot of the fraud at bay. More citizens were engaged in this election than ever before. At Advancing Integrity we thank these heroes and feel so blessed to have fought beside them.

We can’t go back to sleep. After Trump was elected in 2016, many patriots thought the fight was over. They withdrew from politics and didn’t take the cries for election integrity seriously. The left doubled their efforts and used every trick in the book to win in 2020. Don’t think that they won’t do it again in 2026. Get some rest, but then get ready to get back to work in 2025.

Meaningful election integrity legislation must pass in 2025. Our Texas Election Code is still broken. It is crucial that we pass meaningful legislation to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability in our elections.

We need precinct-based, uniform elections with one continuous voting period based on Election Day statutes. We must protect the election process with accurate voter rolls, mail-in ballot integrity, chain of custody, and better audits. We must also enforce our election laws by adding and raising penalties for violations. Those penalties are meaningless, though, if there isn’t someone willing to prosecute. The power to prosecute must be restored to the office of the Attorney General.

Advancing Integrity needs you to join the fight! There is still work to be done and we need people with many different skill sets to answer the call. There are roles behind the scenes analyzing data and doing research. Others are needed to engage with elected officials and election officials.

Keep an eye out for our newsletter each week. We will periodically post calls for volunteers for different projects, action alerts for the 2025 Legislative Session, and other ways you can get involved.
