The US Citizens Elections Bill of Rights was drafted with the Election Integrity Network, state and national organizations, and the Texas Election Coalition as a collaborative nationwide grassroots effort. It attempts to capture the basic principles that should guide our election laws. We may not be able to achieve all of it this legislative session or even in the next, but this document provides an end goal and a direction in which to travel.

Advancing Integrity and the Texas Election Coalition may not fully endorse every line, but we stand with the general principles.  Below you will find the full document and a sample resolution that you can take to your party’s County Executive Committee. The Second Special Session of the 89th Session of the Texas Legislature has ended with two great victories!

  1. The Texas Attorney General’s Office has regained its ability to prosecute election crimes!
  2. A same-day registration amendment that was sneaked onto a bill in the regular session was repealed!
